This original sculpture by Willicey Tynes represents Willicey’s attempt
to enter the sculpture world as a self taught sculpture. Blind, but
calm in the face of challenges and risk.
The sculpture was originally created as a clay model. A polyurethane mold was made of this model in the lost wax process. The wax model was then molded again and melted away leaving a shell in which to pour the hot bronze. The piece was then hand finished and patinaed. Upon completion of the edition the mold is destroyed as well as the original model. There will be no further editions of this distinct image.

within. Willicey allowed his artistic intuition to guide his hands,
and it resulted in this breathtaking sculpture based solely on his
